Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in North Liberty, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 25,700-square-foot fire / police facility; 6,000-square-foot water / sewer project; and 6,000-square-foot municipal facility.
The City of North Liberty intends to enter into a contract for the demolition and construction of a new Cherry Street Firehouse, approximately 25,700 square feet at the current fire station site, as well as a new Parks Shop Building and Water Maintenance Shop building demolition and expansion, both approximately 6,000 square feet in area. The Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR) will be selected through a two-stage solicitation process, which includes a Statement of Qualifications and an Interview and Cost Proposal. Selection criteria include general information, firm relevant experience, team experience and qualifications, local market experience and state preference, CMaR project understanding and approach, project management, safety, and other factors to be defined in the RFQ. Qualified respondents will be asked to submit proposed fees and participate in interviews. The CMaR with the best value proposal based on the published selection criteria and evaluation ranking will be selected.
