The City of Winter Garden is soliciting proposals from qualified professional general contractors for construction services at the City's Fullers Cross Facility and the Western Storage and Repump Facility. The work includes upgrades to a reclaim jockey pump and a potable refill pipe. The City of Winter Garden, Florida is soliciting proposals from qualified professional General Contractors that are interested in providing construction services for the City's Fullers Cross Facility and the Western Storage and Repump Facility. In selecting the contractor the City shall consider such factors as the ability and availability of the contractor's resources (personnel and equipment); past performance; willingness to meet time schedules; recent, current, and projected workloads; past experience with similar projects and cost The site at the Fullers Reclaim Pump Station located at 1025 E Fullers Cross Road was already prepared for new pump with an existing pedestal and site piping and electrical plumbing, adding a new jockey pump versus the originally planned duty pump would require no additional effort. The existing pump is a Patterson Pump Model 3 X 2 MN horizontal split case pump manufactured of cast iron bronze fitted construction to pump 350 GPM to a discharge head of 190 FT when operating at 3540 RPM. The pump proposed would be designed to be hydraulically and dimensionally the same as C0- 066847. The materials shall be as provided on the original serial number. Pump shall be mounted on a common base plate with coupling and OSHA coupling guard direct connected to a 30 HP 3600 RPM premium efficient 3 phase 60 hertz 460 volt motor with TEFC enclosure. It was determined that there is more than adequate space in the electrical control room for another SSSS for the new jockey pump controls and the existing VFD cabinet has more than enough space for additional VFD controls to be added for an additional pump. Additionally, a potable water emergency fill pipe and valving for the existing reclaimed water tank at the Western Storage and Re-pump Facility at 17780 Amber Sweet Lane, Winter Garden, Fl 34787. Construction materials, such as, pipe, fittings, valves, pumps, VFDs, wire and conduit shall be purchased by the Contractor and included in the cost of the project. Disposal of unsuitable material and transport/installation of suitable backfill will be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall install all temporary piping, plugs, connections, structure protection and support, by-pass pumping (with the City's oversight) as well as other equipment and labor required to provide minimal interruption to existing CWG water, reclaimed water and wastewater systems. Maintenance of service connections between existing and proposed water distribution and wastewater collection lines shall be coordinated with the CWG and City Engineer in accordance with the City of Winter Garden Utility Specifications and Standards Manual. All communication, instructions, directions, decisions and approvals given to the contractor will be provided through the City Engineer. The contractor shall not operate any valve nor remove any thrust block from the CWG owned mains except under direction from CWG representative.
