Site work and paving for a road / highway in Big Sur, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to install 2 inches of new asphalt paving over the existing asphalt road surface in two sections, totaling approximately 11,570 square feet. The new paving section begins at the paint mark on the road near the division line between old and new existing asphalt and includes portions of driveways one and two, extending just beyond Lodge Driveway Entry One. Work involves sweeping, removing debris, applying a layer of tack oil, covering the edges of the new asphalt, and hauling off all spoils. Upon completion, the project is to be ready for use in accordance with the plans, specifications, and any issued addenda. License required: A General Engineering Contractor or C-12 Earthwork and Paving Contractor. Bidders must participate in a mandatory job showing. Prospective bidders may obtain bid forms, specifications, plans, and addenda by downloading the bid package from the specified website. For questions or clarifications on contract documents, comments should be submitted to the designated email no later than 2:00 p.m., seven calendar days before the bid opening date. Answers will be provided via Addendum on the Cal eProcure website. Bidders are responsible for downloading any addenda. A minimum 6% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation goal applies. Failure to meet this requirement renders the bid non-responsive. A DVBE incentive is available for exceeding the 6% requirement. Preference is granted to bidders approved as "Small Business" in accordance with regulations. Small business bidders must submit proper certification forms and documentation with the bid. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations for public works contracts. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Answers will be provided by Addendum which will be posted within the Bid Solicitation located on online.
