Sealed proposals are requested for paving work consisting of 699 tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA PG 64-22, Scratch/Leveling Course, 0.0-0.3 million ESAL's, SRL-L, 60 lbs/sy, to be placed on various areas of roadway, and 2,098 tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA PG 64-22 Wearing Course, 0.0-0.3 million ESAL's, SRL-L, 180 lbs/sy/1.5" in place. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408-Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT prequalified. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided, marked "LOCAL ROADS BID PROPOSAL FOR LETTING OF MAY 20, 2026." Bid documents are available at the Township Municipal Building or by contacting the township. All bid submissions must include a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid and a completed Public Works Verification form. The successful bidder must furnish and pay for Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price within twenty days of contract award. All bids must be received by the stated deadline; proposals may not be withdrawn or changed after the deadline, except as allowed by law. All work under the Bituminous Paving contract must be completed by August 29, 2026, with liquidated damages at $975.00 per day for late completion. The project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, irregularities, and to select proposals in the best interest of the Township.
