UCSF’s Rock Hall is currently served by three conventional chillers in an existing mechanical room. UCSF has identified the opportunity to install a heat recovery chiller system in place of one of the conventional chillers to offset Rock Hall’s heating needs. The heat recovery chillers will be tied into the building chilled water and heating hot water systems. The building chilled water and heating hot water sequence of operations shall be modified so that the heat recovery chiller system provides optimal heat recovery capabilities. The mechanical room provides chilled & heating hot water throughout Rock Hall 24/7. Heating and cooling operations cannot be interrupted. All work will be coordinated with facility managers to provide continuous heating and cooling. The Work will consist of Preconstruction and Construction. The University’s Milestone Exhibit 4D-4 of the Agreement is a preliminary schedule of the anticipated Contract Time for the completion of each Phase. Pre-qualification requirements: Only Prequalified Bidders will be allowed to submit a Bid on this project.
