Site work and new construction of an industrial development in Troy, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,351-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development.
Sealed proposals are invited for a new grounds facility. General Contractors submitting bids are required to visit the site to examine existing conditions prior to submitting a proposal, coordinating the visit with the City. Bidders must have general liability and workman’s compensation insurance. The project is to be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect or copies thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is in the Owner's best interests. A certified check or Bid Bond, payable to the City of Troy, for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount (up to a maximum of $10,000) must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required at contract signing. Bidders bidding in excess of the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed per Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display evidence of license on the outside of the bid envelope. Project PDFs may be reviewed and printed online; only documents published by the Architect are endorsed. Addendums will go only to entities confirming their intention to bid. Printed document sets must be returned within ten days after the bid opening in reusable condition. All Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Approval (RFAs) regarding bid documents must be submitted using forms from the project manual, directed via email. Only the specified forms in the project manual will be accepted for inquiries. Telephone or fax inquiries will not be accepted. The contractor is required to ensure proper supervision of all work. Completion time is specified in the Scope of Work section in the project manual.
