Construction of one administration building, one classroom building, play area, and associated sitework at Endeavour Elementary School, 9300 Meacham Road, Bakersfield, CA 93312. This is a prevailing wage project. The contractor and any subcontractors must pay at least the specified rates to all workers employed. All projects over $1,000 are subject to prevailing wage monitoring and enforcement. A payment bond is required for contracts over $25,000 and a performance bond for all contracts. The contractor may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by the owner for performance assurance. A valid and active contractor’s license of specified classifications is necessary to bid or perform the work. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Electronic certified payroll records must be submitted in PDF format as required. Bid Instructions: - Bids must be sealed, labeled with bidder's name, project identification, bid package number, date and time for opening, and addressed to Fruitvale School District. - Bids are due on May 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Fruitvale School District, 7311 Rosedale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Delivery may be by personal delivery, courier, or mailed. - No alternates are requested for this project. - Plans and specifications are available at the Colombo Construction Plan Room or for purchase at Blue Print Service. - The OWNER will retain 5% of the amount of any progress payments. - The project requires prequalification of all general contractors and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors pursuant to AB 1565 and/or AB 1433. No bid package will be accepted without proper prequalification where required.
