The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on September 01, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Region Three/District Four Office in Peoria. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construct inspection for construction contract 68941. The construction of proposed four-lane highway on alignment over the existing two-lane US Route 34. The Consultant's work includes, but is not limited to, providing up to six qualified individuals, vehicles, concrete testing equipment (air meter, slump cone, etc.), survey equipment, nuclear testing equipment, tape measures, any additional tools and appropriate test equipment necessary to assist in performing the required inspection and other duties to allow the timely completion of this project in accordance with specifications. These tools will include an office computer system capable of running CMMS software. The Consultant will perform on-site inspection, layout including design changes, provide construction layout when not provided for in the contract plans, provide geotechnical and nuclear inspection and testing, prepare records, maintain documentation, submit pay estimates, change orders and any other duties that would require the services of an engineer to complete this project on a timely basis and in accordance with state specifications. Inspection includes, but is not limited to, major embankment and excavation, lime stabilized subgrade, new drainage culverts and full depth HMA, and other items associated with new four-lane highway construction project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
