Reference Number 0000423016 The work includes furnish all labor, material, and equipment to remove and replace three (3) 20-inch gate valves and a 20-inch altitude valve within a concrete vault used to control water into and out of the City's elevated south water tower. The scope includes removing and replacing the concrete vault top, installing access hatches and ladder, replacing the valves, new electrical and lighting, installation of automation control, and coating the vault interior for a watertight environment per project plans and specifications. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose. The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests.
