Amity Regional School District #5 is soliciting sealed bids from responsible qualified contractors for construction and related services for interior renovations, alterations, improvements, and associated work to the media center at Amity Regional High School located at 25 Newton Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services for work in the classification of GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (GROUP B). Sealed bids must be received at the office of the Director of Finance at the District's Administrative Offices. Bid submissions must be delivered in hard copy by mail or hand delivery and shall include an original and three copies. Bid opening will be held publicly and also via Zoom. A mandatory pre-bid site visit will be conducted at the project site for all interested bidders. Each bidder is responsible for checking the District and DAS websites for any addenda. Questions and RFIs regarding this Invitation to Bid must be submitted in writing as per the Instructions to Bidders. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total bid amount must be submitted with each bid. The selected contractor must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds each in the amount of the total contract price. The project is subject to the prevailing wage law requirements. This contract is partially funded by a school building project grant from the State of Connecticut and is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including spending allocation goals (25% SBE and 6.25% M/W/DisBE) and nondiscrimination requirements. RSD5 reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Invitation to Bid, to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or non-material deficiencies, and to make such award or no award as determined by its Board of Education.
