Site work and paving for a road / highway in Oakfield, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.
The Town of Oakfield is seeking sealed bids for road projects involving cold mix wedging and chip seal coat applications. Cold mix asphalt spot wedging bids must include the price per ton for material laid in place and compacted, along with the estimated number of tons to be used on each specified road. All aggregates used in the asphalt mixtures must be 100% virgin in nature; no recycled (RAP) aggregates are permitted. The cold mix must be produced and used in a continuous operation, and stockpiled product shall not be used. The chip seal coat projects require a hot oil single chip seal coat application using F2 1/8" 100% virgin, fractured granite black stone chips, and bids should be based on a per mile basis for each road. Contractors are to supply all labor, material, traffic control, signing, and proof of insurance. The work must be completed to State of Wisconsin DOT standards. The Town Board reserves the right to reject or disregard any or all bids, or parts of bids, that do not adequately respond to the specifications requested in the bid notice.
