The project is generally described as Group 8 Public Sewer Rehabilitation Project - Sewer Main Cleaning, Closed Circuit Televised Video (CCTV), and Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation on sewer mains. The work includes CIPP rehabilitation of approximately 99,018 linear feet of cleaned and televised sewer main, primarily composed of 8-inch Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP), with some Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and other types ranging from 8-inch to 42-inch diameter. The scope includes cleaning and CCTV inspection (pre and post-rehabilitation) following NASSCO PACP/LACP/MACP standards. Owner may adjust mains included in the schedule as work progresses. All bids must follow the bidding documents on file. Maps and specifications may be viewed at the Environmental Services Department. Contractors may obtain bidding documents from Engineer's Reprographic and may receive one download of the documents. Additional full sets are available for a non-refundable fee. Only documents from the specified sources are considered accurate and complete. Bid security of 5 percent of the total Base Bid is required with each bid, through cashier's or certified check, or bidder's bond. The successful bidder must provide construction performance and payment bonds. Bids are received on a unit price basis. Contractors and subcontractors must conform to labor standards and employment requirements and comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate. The City encourages bids from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and will not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin. Names, addresses, proposed work items, and dollar amounts for all subcontractors (or a statement of none) must be listed on the form provided and submitted with the bid proposal.
