Description Real estate arm of the City of Montreal, the Societe d'habitation et de developpement de Montreal ("SHDM") contributes to the social and economic development of Montreal through the development and management of a predominantly residential and commercial real estate portfolio. In the midst of a housing crisis, she is pursuing her vision of building affordable housing now and for the long term in Montreal. As a non-profit paramunicipal organization, the SHDM helps maintain and increase the supply of residential rental housing for a mix of clienteles, including people in vulnerable situations, and promote access to home ownership.
