Bids are invited for the following items and quantities of work: 1) 100,000-Gallon Multi-Column Elevated Storage Tank (Base Bid); 2) Interior and Exterior Coating Systems; 3) Electrical; 4) 200,000-Gallon Multi-Column and 100,000-Gallon Pedesphere Elevated Storage Tanks (Alternate Bids). A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Lexington or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Contractors must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). An Active SAM Registration is required. The prevailing Davis-Bacon wage rate must be paid. The contract is subject to Section 3 of the HUD Act, and Section 3 businesses and workers are encouraged to apply. The City of Lexington reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for reviewing and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to contract award.
