Renovation of a municipal facility in Arroyo Grande, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Arroyo Grande is requesting bids from licensed contractors for repair and rehabilitation of a second-floor balcony, railing replacement, siding replacement, and exterior painting at City Hall, 300 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande. A. Structural / Framing Remove existing second floor balcony decking and surface materials to expose underlying structural framing Inspect joists and supporting members for signs of water intrusion and deterioration Sister deteriorated joists where feasible. Where structural members are significantly compromised, remove and replace affected portions of the framing to provide a sound, code-compliant structure. Repair or replace two pony walls Inspect adjacent wall framing and exterior sheathing for water damage. Repair or replace damaged structural components as required to restore structural integrity. The City of Arroyo Grande is requesting bids from licensed contractors for repair/rehabilitation of a second-floor balcony, railing replacement, siding replacement, and exterior painting at City Hall, 300 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond on the prescribed form and made payable to the City for an amount equal to at least 10 percent of the amount of the Bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the apparent successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and insurance certificates, and timely enter into the contract with the City. A Sample Construction Contract is attached in Exhibit "B". The security of unsuccessful bidders will be returned by the City no later than sixty (60) says following the date of the award of the contract for the work. Estimated contract time is 60 working days. Contractor shall include a preliminary construction schedule with their bid, including major phases of work.
