Site work for a civil project in Villa Hills, Kentucky. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
SD1 is requesting proposals to provide professional engineering services for the Dry Creek WWTP EQ Tank and Wet Weather Pump Station Planning Study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate feasible equalization (EQ) storage and pumping alternatives for implementation at the Dry Creek Treatment Plant while considering the operational, spatial, and constructability constraints of the site. The selected consultant shall develop and advance two viable EQ storage alternatives, each providing a minimum of 13 million gallons (MG) of storage capacity and the associated wet weather pump station configuration, to approximately the 30 percent design level. The study shall specifically evaluate cast-in-place concrete storage tanks and prestressed concrete storage tanks, including systems such as AWWA D110 Type III and AWWA D115 tanks, to determine the most suitable solution for SD1. The Planning Study shall include comparative analyses of tank types, construction methods, geometry, dimensions, elevations, siting, and site layout. The evaluation shall also consider delegated design implications, bidding competitiveness, required construction staging and laydown areas, constructability, capital cost, and long-term operation and maintenance requirements. Pump station alternatives necessary to integrate each storage option into the existing treatment plant shall also be assessed.
