Project is for the initial development of three new access areas for the Wilderness Gateway State Trail. Each access area will include gravel parking lots for approximately 70 vehicles, entry drives, two canoe launches, and three vault toilets. The three access areas are located in Catawba County, NC and each will act as a future trailhead. Proposing firms must submit three copies of the Letter of Interest and three copies of the current Standard Form 254 (SF 254) with the information package. The submitted information package should not include any notebooks, binders, tabs, clips, etc.; the format should be 8-1/2" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left-hand corner. The Letter of Interest should not exceed ten single-sided pages or five double-sided pages plus the SF 254. E-mail and fax submittals will not be accepted. In order to offer architectural, engineering, or landscape architectural services in response to this solicitation, the proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. Selection will consider such factors as specialized or appropriate expertise, past performance, staff adequacy, current workload, design approach, experience with costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, proximity to and familiarity with the project area, record of project completion, and other factors appropriate to the project.
