Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Memphis, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
All bidders must be licensed contractors and bid envelopes or submittals must include information as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated. The classification for the project is BC(B)(b)(C), HRA (A)(B)(E), or MU(D), CE. For bids under $25,000, the project is exempt from mandatory contractor's licensing requirements, but "EXEMPT FROM LICENSING REQUIREMENT" must appear on the bid envelope to be considered exempt. Bidders must submit proposals in a sealed envelope, indicating the company name and the request for quote number, to the specified location. Certification regarding nondiscrimination in employment must be included. Unsigned bids will be considered nonconforming. Bids with terms and conditions other than those contained in the instructions may be considered nonconforming. A bid bond is required if the bid amount is $100,000 or more. Contracts will be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best bids as determined by the City of Memphis. Bidders must submit all forms by the deadline and all bids must be signed by an authorized company representative. If seeking local preference under ordinance NO. 5114, a copy of the Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee business tax receipt must accompany the bid. Any protest of award must be filed in writing with the Purchasing Agent within ten days of award announcement. Only bids submitted on supplied forms with no alterations will be considered.
