Renovation of a multi-residential development in Carbon Hill, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment, and all services, and performing and coordinating all operations for the Modernization of Public Housing Sites AL64-1, VII; AL64-2, V; AL64-3, V and AL64-4, V, HUD Modernization Number AL09-P064-501-25. The work of the base bid includes, but is not necessarily limited to, HVAC and tankless water heaters and work incidental thereto. Bidders are required to inspect the property, buildings, and conditions that may be affected. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Carbon Hill, or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bidders must be licensed by the State Licensing Board of General Contractors of Alabama, and the current license number must be displayed on the sealed envelope in which the bid is delivered or the bid will not be accepted. Each bid must include the Representations, Certifications, and Other Statements of Bidders, 1992 Edition, Non-Collusive Affidavit, and the Previous Participation Certificate signed by the bidder on the correct HUD forms. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on the project, and contractors must ensure nondiscrimination in employment. Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening.
