The work consists of constructing waterline replacements for the Marion County Public Water Authority, Phase 2 Waterline Replacement Contract No. 3, DWSRF Project No. FS010026-02 under a single contract. The principal items of work are: installation of 7,250 linear feet of 6-inch Class 250 PVC pipe, 21,000 linear feet of 3-inch Class 250 PVC pipe, 5 wet connections as specified in the drawings, 2 fire hydrant assemblies for flushing, 8 flush hydrants, casing pipe for road crossings, and service lines and meters. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for public inspection at the office of the owner or can be obtained from the office of the engineers upon payment of the actual cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. No refunds are made except for prime contractor bidders, who may be refunded for one bid set. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the bid. Bids cannot be withdrawn after the opening. The owner may hold bids for up to sixty days. The project must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days, and liquidated damages apply if contract time is exceeded. Funding is through DWSRF, and all applicable federal guidelines must be met. No pre-bid meeting will be held. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept any bid considered advantageous.
