Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. The work to be done consists of the final restoration of disturbed roadways and grassy areas from the installation of water main and water services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment required to excavate, sub grade, and cut the edge of the pavement along the trench to make a straight edge where required by the highway department having jurisdiction. The contractor shall cart away all material as it is removed from the trench and dispose of same. Al dust, dirt, and debris shall be brushed off the highway and disposed of by the contractor. No pavement cuts are to be left unfilled overnight. The contractor shall supply asphalt tickets for all asphalt supplied on a daily basis to the inspector on site the day of delivery unless otherwise ordered by the Authority's Engineer. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment for breaking down the road surfaces and disposing of the debris in a lawful manner from the job. All patches shall be cut back at distances specified by the Authority's Engineer. Cutbacks shall be made with a diamond saw unless another method is approved by the Authority's Engineer and the local Highway Department. All temporary type bituminous paving placed previously by others is to be cut out, removed, and replaced as well as any erupted or settled area adjacent or near the patch. Al valve boxes and manholes and other castings shall be set to the proper grade before any paving replacement is made. All work shall be done for the unit price. The contractor shall have available all labor, tools, and sufficient grading equipment required to complete topsoil replacement and seeding work.
