Emergency Demolition, Disposal of Debris and Related Matters Concerning Any Remaining Structural Materials and Remaining Debris on the Premises Commonly Known as 224 Jensen Street, Bureau, Illinois Scope of This Project You May Contact the Village Maintenance Supervisor James Shipp at (815) 659-3341. Scope of Project: Bidders Will Be Required to Submit a Bid for Demolition of Any Remaining Structures Together With Appropriate Removal and Disposal of All Structural Materials in Regard to Any Remaining Structure and All Structural Materials and Debris Located at 224 Jensen Street, Bureau, Illinois. Bid Specifications and Consideration of Various Items for Bidders Includes Each and All of the Following: Item 1: Removal of All Below Grade Construction and Utilities, Disconnecting Sealing, Capping in Place Site Utilities That Cannot Be Removed and the Performance of the Same in a Manner That Will Not Otherwise Disrupt Village Utilities in General and Utility Use of Neighboring Premises. Item 2: No Debris Shall Be Allowed to Be Placed by the Contractor in the Foundation Opening if One Exists. Item 3: General Environmental Protection, Dust Control and Noise Control Measures Shall Be Used During the Construction Project Including, but Not Limited to, Demolition. Contractor to Use Good Demolition Practices Including Using Water to Suppress Dust in Accordance With Section 9 of the Illinois Environmental Protection Act. Item 4: Contractor Will Be Required to Show Proof of Properly Sealing Existing Water and Sewer Lines Approved by the Village of Bureau Junction. Additionally, All Work by the Contractor Shall Be Performed and Wages Paid in Compliance With the Applicable Federal and State Statutes, Village Ordinances and Regulations Regarding Prevailing Wage Requirements. Item Any and All Demolition, Debris Removal, Excavation, Backfilling Foundation, and/or Work of Any Kind or Nature in Connection With This Project Shall Be Performed by the Contractor in Compliance With Any and All Applicable State and Federal Laws and Regulations Including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the United States and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and the Illinois Department of Public Health. y Successful Bidder Shall Be Entitled to All Contents of the Premises for Salvage Purposes. The Village of Bureau Junction Also Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive the Informality in the Bidding in the Best Interests of the Village and in Compliance With Law, and Also Subject to Such Other Conditions and/or Contingencies as May Be Lawful and Appropriate in the Circumstances in the Appropriate Exercise of Reasonable Discretion by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Bureau Junction.
