Renovation of an educational facility in Newton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Loading Dock Replacement; Service Drive and Access Reconfiguration; Service Elevator Replacement; Back-of-House Circulation Improvements; Performer Support Spaces; Displaced Program Replacement; Performance Systems Upgrades; and Acoustical Enhancements. UMBA is seeking Construction Manager Services Statement of Qualifications for the Bromery Center Performance Hall Improvements project at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus. The project scope will include, but not be limited to, the following elements: Loading Dock Replacement: Demolish and replace the existing loading dock with a new, expanded, weather-protected dock facility to accommodate large touring trucks and equipment. Service Drive and Access Reconfiguration: Regrade and reconfigure the north service drive and parking areas to support WB-67 truck maneuvering, while maintaining safe east-west pedestrian circulation across the north side of Bromery. Service Elevator Replacement: Replace the existing service elevator from the loading dock level to the stage level with a new elevator with the weight capacity and sized to accommodate the largest performance equipment. Back-of-House Circulation Improvements: Increase vertical and horizontal clearances along the route from the loading dock to the stage, including raising floor slab elevations as necessary to provide continuous access. Performer Support Spaces: Provide enlarged and improved back-of-house facilities, including dressing rooms, green rooms, rehearsal areas, and related performer amenities. Displaced Program Replacement: Relocate or reconstruct existing spaces displaced by new additions, including the workshop and Music practice rooms. Performance Systems Upgrades: Upgrade or replace lighting, rigging, and power distribution systems to meet current performance and touring show requirements. Acoustic Enhancements: Implement targeted acoustic improvements in Tillis Hall based on recommendations from Rosati Acoustics + Multimedia to optimize performance, sound quality and audience experience. The Project will have the following participation goals for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran-owned & Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses jointly referred as Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE) and for workforce utilization: Construction MBE firm participation goal 4.2% Requests for information or clarification of the intent or content of the RFQ, and any other questions from prospective Respondents regarding the Project or this RFQ must be submitted in writing to the OPM in the manner set forth in Section 4.8 and must be received by the OPM on or before 12:00pm on May 15, 2026. Construction WBE firm participation goal 8.8% Construction VBE firm participation goal 3.0% Construction workforce: Minorities: 15.3%; Women: 6.9% The campus community includes a student enrollment of approximately 32,000 as well as 5,500 faculty and staff. The campus in Amherst is comprised of over 13 million square feet on 1,450 acres of land. There are four additional UMass Amherst stations in Belchertown, Gloucester, Wareham, and Newton.
