Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Trego, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The required work includes replacement of the sanitary sewer and septic system serving the Namekagon River Visitor Center. Work includes demolition and abandonment of the existing system, including five existing septic tanks or cisterns and any additional components necessary to install a new system. The new septic tanks, lift station, and drain field shall be constructed outside of the existing system to allow continued use of the current system with minimal service interruptions during crossover connections. New sanitary sewer piping shall consist of 4-6 inch diameter PVC or HDPE for gravity sections and 1.5-2 inch diameter HDPE for the force main. A new septic tank sized to meet State and County design requirements shall be installed. A new lift station is required to convey wastewater to the new drain field and shall include a dual-pump configuration with stainless steel components, an integral wet well, and a safety hatch. The drain field shall be designed to meet State and County requirements based on results of septic test pits performed by a certified septic installer. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work. Location: Namekagon River Visitor Center, Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway, 11640 Highway 63, Trego, WI 54888. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
