No other form will be accepted. All questions must be submitted no later than two (2) days prior to the acceptance of bids. The City of Montpelier is requesting proposals to perform work shown on construction drawings issued by Stevens and Associates Architects dated 2/6/2026 including civil and structural construction drawings issued by DeWolfe Engineering dated 2/6/2025. It is intended that the following work scopes be included in RFP responses: 1. Jacking existing building and lowering onto new foundation 2. Demolition and disposal of existing foundation 3. Excavation for new foundation including ledge removal noted on drawings 4. Installation of new footings, concrete walls, piers and steel beams as shown on drawings. 5. Foundation coating and insulation 6. Backfill, grading and site work as shown on drawings 7. Installation of new basement slab 8. Carpentry, plumbing, heating and electrical contractors are expected to be retained under a separate RFP and contractors should plan to coordinate work with those trades The City of Montpelier reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in the bidding per current policy. Bids may be held by the City of Montpelier for a period not to exceed ten (10) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
