The work to be performed consists of the construction of a new crosswalk across the north leg of the Redmond Way and NE 70th Street intersection, including but not limited to the reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, and pavement, paving a new traffic island in the intersection, modifications to a traffic signal system, illumination system including poles, foundations, conduits, junction boxes, and wiring, as well as traffic control and detour routing and other work necessary to complete the project. Bids must be sealed and submitted with a Subcontractor List by the specified deadline. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Section 1-02.9 instructions. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier's check or surety bid bond payable to the City of Redmond for not less than five percent of the total bid amount, including sales tax and all listed additives and alternates. Small, minority, and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids or bidding process. Engineer's Estimate for this work is $560,000 to $680,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
