The project consists of the construction of approximately 18,500+ linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main and associated appurtenances, as well as a booster pump station and associated site improvements. skid, FRP enclosure, and associated site/electrical/mechanical work. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and shall be on a unit basis as indicated in the bid form. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a duly organized bank payable to the Owner, or a bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond before the Notice to Proceed is authorized. Failure to supply required bonds will result in default of contract. Proof of workers compensation and general liability insurance as required by law must be provided. Bidders must comply with O.C.G.A. Sec. 13-10-91 and must register and participate in the federal work authorization program (E-Verify). Bidders must submit the required affidavit before any bid is considered. The primary contractor is responsible for providing bonds, insurance, and E-Verify documentation for all subcontractors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity, and to retain all proposals submitted.
