The project involves pavement maintenance at Savage Field Airport, divided into two schedules. Schedule A covers Taxiway A and apron pavement maintenance, consisting of crack sealing (approx. 39,445 LF), seal coating (approx. 23,293 SY), and markings. Schedule B covers Taxiway B pavement maintenance, consisting of crack sealing (approx. 14,813 LF), seal coating (approx. 8,306 SY), and markings. The project is funded in part by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is subject to federal contract provisions including Buy America Preferences and the Davis Bacon Act. The Work is generally described as follows: The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate and expand the terminal apron pavement including hot mix asphalt and additional concrete pavement to accommodate new aircraft parking positions. It will also allow for the addition of a new aircraft deicing apron. Stormwater improvements will prevent existing systems from overflowing onto active pavements. Pavement maintenance of the existing concrete apron including crack and spall repair and re-sealing of the existing joints. Other work items include mobilization, safety compliance, and contractor surveys, marking removal, asphalt rotomilling, excavation, subbase, base, and stabilized base course placement, asphalt and concrete paving, temporary and permanent markings, deicing containment system installation, and stormwater improvements.
