BC Parks is inviting proposals for mechanical and manual wildfire risk reduction treatments in 55.4 hectares of Dragon Mountain Park. The objective of this treatment is to reduce wildfire risk to critical infrastructure through phased tree removal. The estimated budget for the project is $450,000. Proposals that exceed the estimated budget for the project WILL NOT be excluded from consideration. The services required include but are not limited to: tree thinning, processing and removal, pruning by hand, surface fuel reduction, treatment debris disposal by pile burning or chipping (completed concurrently with treatment where conditions allow), or other methods that are proposed, processing and transportation of merchantable timber, and, rehabilitation of project site and Durrell Road.
