The project includes site grading, storm sewer, and parking lot improvements for Crawford County Highway Department, County Highway X, Gays Mills/Soldiers Grove Combined Shop Proposed Site Plan. The work under this contract shall consist of grading, base aggregate, storm sewer installation, erosion control, and lawn restoration, along with all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. Bids must be submitted electronically and will not be accepted in paper form. Each bid must be accompanied by a fully executed Proposal Agreement. The successful bidder must execute the contract agreement, payment bond, and performance bond within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award, begin work no later than ten (10) days after written Notice to Proceed, and complete all work within the time allotted by the contract terms. A certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the OWNER, must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award. The original certified check or bid bond must be delivered within 48 hours of bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the bid opening. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions as deemed necessary. The OWNER may waive informalities, reject any or all bids or parts of a bid, and award the contract to the bidder who, in the judgment of the OWNER, will best serve the OWNER's interests. Est.
