The project consists of the construction of a building pad and the completion of site grading work to prepare property located directly east of County Line Road and west of Runway 18R-36L for future development. All labor, materials, equipment, and services required for this work are to be furnished. Bidders must be Alabama General Contractors licensed prior to the date of bid opening, with the current license number and classification placed on the outside of the sealed bid. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will not be considered. Pre-qualification of bidders is not required. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total contract amount. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, are required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder. Bids cannot be withdrawn or modified within 45 days after the opening date.
