Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Dunkirk, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Sealed bids are requested for the City of Dunkirk Sidewalk Replacement Project, involving sidewalk excavation and construction as part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Bidders must submit security not less than five percent of the bid amount, in the form and under conditions described in the Information for Bidders. The contract is subject to the higher of New York Department of Labor or Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rate determinations, with adherence to NYS DOL prevailing wage schedules required. Contractors must be registered with the NYS DOL Contractor Registry List prior to bidding, and certified payroll must be submitted online as well as to the City. The City is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and encourages proposals from New York State certified Minority and Women's Business Enterprises. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept or reject any part of any proposal, and waive any irregularities. If all bids exceed awarded funding, the process will be null and void and a new bid process will be initiated. 6,518 sq ft of walkways, see spec sheet for details. The Sidewalk Replacement Program (Year 3) will cover hazardous and deteriorated walkways in the City of Dunkirk's Census Tract 357, Block 1 (72.10% LMI) and other needed priority areas. Sidewalk replacement will consist of: 1) Excavating existing sidewalk, 2) Apply stone as needed, 3) Pour 4,000 PSI concrete, 4) Create a Smooth finish, 5) Restore landscape/surrounding grass areas and 6.) Business entrances where walkways are poured must remain open with access available to patrons. Contractors must comply with all requirements as outlined in Section 65-28 of the City of Dunkirk Code, all Federal HUD CDBG documentation requirements including prevailing wage rates /payroll paperwork, and NYS DOL Online Certified Payroll. Contractors are now required to be registered with the NYS DOL Contractor Registry prior to submitting a bid. The Sidewalk Project (Year 3) work should be completed by August 31st, 2026. If all bids received are higher than the project's awarded funding, then the bidding process will become null and void, and therefore a new bidding process will be performed.
