Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project consists of an 8,400-square-foot facility for use by the Iowa Department of Transportation to maintain and wash trucks and mix brine for treating roads. The Mechanical, Brine-Making, Wash-Bay (MBW) building will have precast exterior walls, steel joist roof, and block interior walls for the restroom, office, mechanical room, and welding station. The brine tank area is outside of the building footprint.
