Site work for a water / sewer project in Fortuna, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of excavating and removing valves at 10 sites; installing 27 gate valves in the city water system; replacing pipe and fittings; installing reducers/adapters as needed; installing thrust and/or anchor blocks; installing valve boxes per City of Fortuna Construction Standards; backfilling excavations; and restoring pavement sections. The project must be completed within 54 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders are required to have a California contractor license (A or C-34) and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bid proposals must include bid security equal to 10% of the maximum bid amount in the form of cashier’s check, certified check, or bid bond. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Bidders must submit a subcontractor list including business location, contractor license number, DIR registration number, and portion of work performed. Bidders should review the full Instructions to Bidders before submitting proposals.
