The work generally consists of the sawcut, removal and disposal of existing failed asphalt pavement sections, cold milling, subgrade preparation, compaction, full depth DGAC pavement, AC leveling course pavement, ARHM overlay pavement, Polymer Modified Type II slurry seal, traffic signing, and thermoplastic traffic striping and markings. The work also includes removal and reconstruction of Portland cement concrete (PCC) curb & gutter; rolled curb & gutter, curb, ADA curb ramps, cross gutters & spandrels, sidewalk, slot paving, utility adjustments, construction survey & monumentation, BMP implementation, traffic/pedestrian control, construction phasing, and all appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the Plans and Specifications for the FY 2024-2025 Annual Street Rehabilitation Project. The contractor must furnish all transportation, materials, tools, equipment, labor, and supplies necessary to complete the improvements and all incidental work as indicated in the specifications. Bids must be submitted on the specified city forms. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and comply with prevailing wage requirements. Each bidder must hold a Class "A" License (General Engineering Contractor). The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding process.
