SaskPower is seeking new construction of approximately 19km and 18km of 230kV transmission line to sectionalize the current B4R B5R double circuit line and connect in out to the new Tableland Switching Station. This new line will consist of direct embed 230kV double circuit galvanized H-frame structures with double-circuit twin-bundled Drake ACSR conductor. To complete the work, a temporary bypass line will be constructed to allow one circuit of the B4R B5R line to be energized. The bypass work includes installation of temporary dead-end structures to facilitate sectionalizing of the B4R B5R line, and dead-ending of overhead shield wires on B2W and B1K lines, salvage existing lattice tower structures #428 and #429, salvage the conductors and shield wires between structures #428 and #429 and deadending of shield wires on B2W 138kv at structure #16 and at structure #19 and B1K 230kV at structure #8 and at structure #14A (Structure B1K #9 is a deflection). Structure T1B T2B #430 will be raised, this work is not part of this scope of work and will be done by others.
