Reference Number 0000419235 The Sedalia Water and Sanitation District ("District") is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Contractors for the construction of water system infrastructure improvements within the District service area in Sedalia, Colorado. The Project is intended to support ongoing system reliability, operational efficiency, fire protection, and future growth within the District. This project has been funded by both Douglas County American Rescue Plan Act "ARPA" Funds and Federal USDA Rural Development Funds. The Work generally consists of installation and replacement of potable water infrastructure, including but not limited to water mains, valves, hydrants, fittings, service connections, emergency interconnect vault, trenchless installation, site restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and associated appurtenances. Additional bid alternate Phase II work may include above-ground water storage tank improvements, utility coordination, roadway restoration, and other related infrastructure improvements as identified in the Contract Documents. Construction of a metered interconnect vault. Phase 2: Construction of a 0.5-million-gallon water storage tank and associated transmission main piping connecting to the waterline replacements. Funding for Phase 1 is fully procured. Mobilization and demobilization. 2. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control devices 3. Implementation and maintenance of erosion control devices and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). 4. Trench safety program. 5. Installation of water line via open cut and trenchless methods including valves, fittings, tees, casing pipes, fire hydrant assemblies, and other appurtenances as shown on the plans. 6. Removal, transport, and disposal of asbestos cement (AC) pipe and other asbestos containing materials. 7. Temporary water service. 8. Abandonment of existing water lines and appurtenances as shown on the plans. 9. Removal and disposal of existing water lines, valves, fittings, fire hydrant assemblies, water services, and other appurtenances as shown on the plans. 10. Removal and replacement of paving (gravel, asphalt, or concrete), curbs, sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, and painting/striping as shown on the plans. 11. Reconnection of water services including water meters. 12. Site restoration including, but not limited to: earthwork and grading to adjust soil to preconstruction conditions, hydromulch seeding, replacement of signage that was damaged or removed, landscaping, trees, final clean-up, and removal of trash and construction debris. 13. Acquisition of all required permitting for construction. 14. Coordination with private franchise utilities within the right-of-way or working area.
