Renovation of a military facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, transportation, tools, and incidental services required to complete a full replacement of the backup generator system serving the radar site. The work includes removal and replacement of the existing generator system and installation of a new system that matches or exceeds current capabilities. This includes, but is not limited to, the generator, fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, day tank, automatic transfer switch, electric heater in the generator room, sensors controlling heating and ventilation, and the exhaust system. The contractor shall ensure continuous power and redundant power throughout the duration of the work due to the critical nature of the system. The new generator system must incorporate unique operational requirements such as a preheat system and the ability to start and accept load within 15 seconds. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work, referenced specifications of the existing system, and applicable codes and requirements. The range of magnitude for this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 180 calendar days *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
