Furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work required for Project No. HW24115: Planting, Irrigation & Lighting Improvements at Lillian Boat Launch. Sixty (60) working days are allowed for construction. All bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications with the Contract booklet submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's Bond, payable to Baldwin County, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be filed with the proposal. The bidder's bond must be prepared on the specified form and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in Alabama. A performance bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and materials bond in an amount not less than fifty percent (50%) of the contract price are required at contract signing. The Contractor must also provide a certificate of insurance coverage as specified. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, furnish any material or work, and change the amount of the contract. Liquidated damages for non-completion within the agreed time will be assessed as per contract terms. Specifications must be downloaded as instructed. No specifications will be issued later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to bid receipt. Bidders must be properly qualified under Alabama law and hold a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Non-resident entities must show evidence of qualification with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama, if required by law, and comply with out-of-state contractor requirements. No bid shall be withdrawn for thirty (30) days post-opening without the Commission's consent. Compliance with Davis Bacon Wage Act is not required; however, prevailing wage is encouraged.
