Renovation of a civil project in Traverse City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Grand Traverse County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals to provide services to perform upgrades to one of its metered connections, known as Master Meter Stations. The Charter Township of Garfield owns and operates the water infrastructure that provides domestic and fire suppression to their customers. The water source for the Township is purchased from the City of Traverse City. The Township's municipal water utilities are operated by the County Department of Public Works (DPW). (Engineer) 1820 Oak Hollow Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686 Email: jennifer@gfa.tc Phone: 231-946-5874 Fax: 231-946-3703 General: o Removal and replacement of associated piping, valves, and appurtenances in accordance with attached plans and specifications. o Contractor shall properly dispose of removed materials as directed by the DPW. o Contractor responsible to provide adequate supports to provide a rigid structure. o Removal all debris and clean sump (as applicable) to assure positive drainage of infiltration to the sump area as indicated on the plans. o Contractor shall be responsible to conduct field exploration to verify all conditions prior to beginning work. o All work including staging, storage and equipment shall remain within confines of ROW and existing easements. o Disconnect and reconnect existing wiring and controls as applicable. o All wiring and conduit to be compatible with meter manufacturer recommendations and NEC. o Complete Miss Dig prior to any underground excavation. o Mobilization, demolition, offsite disposal, restoration, and cleanup per drawings and specifications. o Existing equipment to be removed and/or salvaged at the direction of the DPW. o Coordination of delivery and unloading of materials o Traffic Control and property owner coordination to ensure road and/or driveway access. o Temporary power supply as needed to complete work. Existing power supply as provided by TCLP and contractor responsible to coordinate as applicable. o Contractor shall comply with schedule and notes identified on the plans to ensure and maintain system operations at all times.
