The project involves the complete reconditioning of the North Hills 4,000,000-gallon groundwater storage tank, including full interior and exterior coating replacement, structural and mechanical repairs, and site improvements. . Work includes tank rehabilitation, appurtenance upgrades, and fencing/security enhancements under a single prime contract with a 120-day construction duration. Project Location: Anniston, Alabama, 36206 Miscellaneous repairs to ground water storage tank to include: a. Removal of the existing float indicator system. b. Replace the Eye-Bolt at the external hinge for the manway on the north side of the tank. c. Installation of aluminum roof vent with stainless steel insect screen d. Remove existing caulk and replace with new caulk at the ring wall. e. Remove the exterior ladder safety climb system. f. Remove the light and antennas and all associated conduits. Roof hatch intrusion alarm should be returned to preconstruction conditions at the end of the project. g. Replace interior ladder rungs where directed by the Engineer. h. Removal of the interior ladder safety climb system. i. Removal of interior column ladder. j. Replace U-Bolt Pipe Clamps for the overflow pipe. k. Replace steel curb on the tank roof hatches where directed by the Engineer. l. Install a 24-inch manway opening in the interior riser in place of the existing 12-inch by 16-inch manway. m. Replace site security signs where indicated in the Appendix of these Specifications. n. Perform miscellaneous fence repairs as identified in the Appendix of these Specifications.
