Site work and paving for a road / highway in Petersburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Work includes the installation of 18-inch pipes approximately 60 feet with 2x4 Inlet Box and topping, 9 new 15-inch pipes approximately 360 feet, and 2RC for around pipes. Construct headwalls and endwalls for all R4-R5 inlets and outlets. Clean ditches and reshape the road with a grader and paver. Place 800 tons of 2A stone. The project length is 16 feet wide by 1900 feet long, involving stone power placement of DSA, 950 tons paver placed at 6 inches and rolled to 4 inches, 16 feet wide and 1900 feet long compacted. Pipes and headwalls must be installed by July 1. All work must be completed by September 1. Prevailing wages apply. Liquidated damages will be charged at the rate of $870 per calendar day. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the contract must be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The municipality reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Jackson Township will supply all pipes, headwalls, and inlet box.
