Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

This project is for the South Omaha Transit Center Concrete Replacement. The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the drive aisle concrete and bituminous overlayed concrete pavement from South 27th Street west to where the drive aisle turns north. The scope also includes the removal of the integral concrete curb at the edges of the drive aisle pavement, the platform sidewalk adjacent to the transit center, and existing site furnishings such as trash receptacles, benches, and in-ground lighting units. Existing bike racks and a bike repair station are to be salvaged for reinstallation. Existing manholes and cleanouts will be adjusted. New work consists of providing a new 11-inch thick, high early strength concrete drive aisle (from S. 27th Street west to the turn), with all concrete treated with a waterborne sealer. It also includes providing a new integral concrete curb, a new 6-inch thick platform area concrete sidewalk, new detectable warning surface tiles, and new pedestrian ramps. New trash receptacles and benches will be installed along with the salvaged bike racks and repair station. The project requires the restoration of disturbed turf areas with topsoil and sod, the replacement of any disturbed irrigation system components, and the provision of all necessary erosion control components.
