Renovation of an educational facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 19,287-square-foot educational facility.
Kent Intermediate School District is seeking bids for the replacement of multiple roof sections at Kent Career Technical Center West, located at 1800 Leffingwell Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Specifications are to be considered as minimum requirements and general conditions must be adhered to. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked with "Kent ISD KCTC West Roof Replacement" on the outside, and delivered to Kent ISD, Attn: Cody Nosko, 1655 E Beltline NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Kent ISD Maintenance Building at the same address, located in parking lot #4 across from the greenhouse and wind turbine. The Maintenance Building front door is labeled E-1. Bids received after the specified date and time will not be considered. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the owner and any employee of the bidder and any member of the board or superintendent, as well as a sworn and notarized statement regarding Iran Linked Business status. Bids that do not include these disclosures will not be accepted. Kent ISD reserves the right to allow only Michigan-based businesses to bid, in accordance with applicable laws. The project consists of a complete removal and replacement of several existing roof system sections over an approximate area of 19,287 square feet. Core sampling indicates the existing roof assembly consists of Built-Up Roofing (BUR) over 1" wood fiber insulation, over 1.5" polyisocyanurate (ISO) insulation, installed on metal decking. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to complete the work in accordance with this Scope of Work and applicable codes.
