Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This project includes the renovation of the existing Historic Baltimore City College Main Building, the existing Annex Building, and a New Addition with the following gross square footage: Main Building: 302,683 Gsf; Annex Building: 23,568 Gsf; New Addition: 22,979 Gsf. The project will be constructed in multiple phases. The first phase consisted of an early release package including demolition, abatement, and select MEP. The second phase will consist of Surveying, SOE, Earthwork, Site Utilities, Structural Concrete, Masonry, Masonry Restoration, Structural Steel, Waterproofing, Roofing, Drywall, and the remainder of the MEP scopes. The third phase will consist of all remaining trades. Contractors or suppliers providing materials, supplies, equipment, and/or services for the construction project shall attempt to achieve the following MBE goals: Total MBE = 33%, African-American = 8%, Women Owned = 11%. MBEs must be certified through the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). All bidders must acknowledge the OCIP Manual and Safety Standards, as well as the prevailing wages.
