SHS is undertaking a major campus expansion at 99 Cartwright Avenue in North York, featuring a 2-storey, 2,440-square-metre addition. The Project aims to enhance student spaces with modern classrooms, breakout rooms, offices, new elevator and improvements to the gymnasium in the existing facility. The Project, which will also include new site services and landscaping, will be constructed on land at SHS’ existing 7-acre site. A new 2-storey addition is proposed for the west side of the property; seven acres of green space in midtown Toronto. CS&P Architects designed the expansion, focusing on agile learning studios that connect to existing structures. A prior phase included a new wing with flexible classrooms (featuring movable walls) and a climbing wall in the gym. This Project continues SHS' commitment to modern, collaborative and flexible learning spaces. The Form of Construction Contract will be a CCDC 2 – 2020 Stipulated-Sum Contract. Pre-qualification requirements: General Contractors interested in submitting a Bid in connection with Sterling Hall School’s upcoming “Growing Together” Campus Expansion Project must be pre-qualified under this RFPQ process.
