The University of Waterloo is seeking a qualified HVAC service contractor to provide preventative maintenance services for multiple air-cooled chillers located across University of Waterloo campuses, including Waterloo, Kitchener, and Stratford locations. The equipment covered under this agreement includes a combination of air-cooled screw and scroll compressor chillers manufactured by Trane and McQuay. These chillers support critical building cooling systems serving academic, research, and operational spaces. The intent of this agreement is to improve equipment reliability, minimize operational downtime, and ensure chillers are maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices. The successful contractor will provide seasonal startup and shutdown services, annual preventative maintenance inspections, operational testing and reporting, and emergency response support as required. Pricing is to reflect the reduced equipment count in Year 2, as one chiller is planned for demolition after the first year of the contract. The University intends to award this work based on pricing and qualifications among qualified contractors with demonstrated experience servicing similar air-cooled chiller equipment.
