The Town of Boone seeks to engage qualified private engineering firms to provide an engineering report, environmental information document, design, and construction administration and inspection services for a new sewer lift station. The selected firm will report directly to the Town, administer the construction contract, and ensure work is performed according to contract requirements. The firm must provide engineers and technicians with appropriate skills and qualifications for design and contract compliance, including inspection, materials sampling and testing, surveying, documentation of pay quantities, erosion control, permit compliance, safety compliance, and claims avoidance. Firms must be registered with the North Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, demonstrate financial ability, furnish proof of professional liability insurance, and have adequate accounting systems. The method of payment is lump sum. Interested firms must submit a Letter of Interest for qualification review and selection. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
