The Town of Boone seeks to engage a Private Engineering Firm to provide an engineering report, environmental information document, design, and construction administration and inspection services for elevating the internal electrical and mechanical components of the South Fork water intake by an additional story, creating a two-story intake structure. The selected firm will report directly to the Town, administer the construction contract, and ensure all work is performed according to contract requirements. The Private Engineering Firm must provide engineers and technicians with appropriate skills and qualifications to ensure proper design and contract compliance, and will be responsible for oversight of the project. The firm must ensure proper registration with the relevant state authorities, demonstrate the ability to provide qualified construction technicians, and provide proof of professional liability insurance. The proposed contract payment method is lump sum. Firms are required to submit a Letter of Interest, after which qualifications will be reviewed and a firm will be selected to provide the requested services.
