The project involves building improvements, including but not limited to: construction of a new Concession Stand plus associated site improvements, and oil tank removal plus associated site improvements. Bids will be received for a single contract project consisting of general construction work. Bid security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid is required. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner are required of the successful bidder. Bids must be prepared as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the bidder and the title of the work to which the bid relates. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five days after the date of bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District.
